Hi all!

I am Amy Blakeslee and I am the CEO and Founder of Parentainment.com.  For those of you who have been with the site for awhile, you will notice it has undergone some transformations.  It started as a social network site aimed at parents who want to have a social life.  It's now become a resources and information site for parents to help them become the best parents they can be while still being themselves.

I, too, have undergone a personal transformation since the inception of Parentainment.  At the start, I was a married, full time Mom of two beautiful daughters and I am now a divorced, 60% custody Mom of two beautiful daughters.  While the separation from my husband was something I wanted, it has definitely been a time of personal ups and downs.

So, what am I going to focus on in this blog?  Everything!  I want to talk about kids, the economy, love and relationships, marriage and divorce -- including my own, pregnancy and childbirth, education, arts and entertainment., health and fitness, beauty..  You name it.  And I want your participation!  Tell me if you agree or disagree.  Let's have some great discussions here!

My goal with Parentainment.com is to have a site where all parents - moms and dads - can come together and find information, businesses and services, jobs, babysitters, etc...  I remember when I was first about to become a parent - it was so intimidating trying to find the information or services I needed.  And now that my daughters are 4 and 6 its a little easier but I don't always have the time to search all over the internet or ask everyone I know for help.
