If your child is having problems with his homework, help them stay on track by setting up a consistent time for homework/study every day.  Set up an area for this purpose and make sure there are no distractions like TV, video games or the internet.

If your toddler is having a temper tantrum, ignore it. Nine times out of ten, the tantrum is a way to get attention, and if you give that attention, even if it is negative attention such as yelling at the toddler, this will show the child that he or she can get their own way by throwing a tantrum.
