Parentainment.com is not your average parenting website!  It is a unique social networking site that allows moms and dads to connect with other parents, social groups and child care providers, and supplies them with the tools they need to be the best parents they can be, while enabling them to enrich their own lives.  Having kids doesn’t mean you have to give up your life!

Parentainment.com is exclusively for parents and child care providers such as babysitters and nannies.  Members of the site enjoy a number of unique benefits, including:  

• Building a profile with details about the parents and their children and connecting with other members in their city and across the country.  Members can also stay in touch through their Social Circle, a tool similar to friends lists on other social networking sites which allows members to send messages to each other.

• The ability to browse and join social groups they are interested in, and even create their own groups.  Social groups can range anywhere from poker playing dads to parents of children with ADD and single parents looking for support. 

• Finding out what activities are happening in their city, including family-friendly events, as well as outings just for adults if mom and dad need a night out! 

• Up-to-the-minute parenting news from around the world, and access to blogs and informational articles written by experts and other members.  Topics covered include child care, education, entertaining, health, holidays, life, parenting, relationships and sex, and vacation and travel.

And the best part is, membership to the website is absolutely free for everyone! What parent wouldn’t love that? Membership is open to all parents – moms, dads, single parents and couples – as well as babysitters and nannies.  All members must be 18 years or older.

In addition, Parentainment.com believes in giving back to the community, and donates a percentage of its profits to family-based charities each month.  Soon members will be able to get involved by voting each month on the charity they think deserves the donation, and the charity with the most votes will receive that month’s donation.

Amy Blakeslee, CEO and Founder 

Parentainment.com is the brainchild of Amy Blakeslee, an 18-year veteran of the IT industry and a working mother with two young daughters.  While she loves spending time with her children, she also enjoys her own activities like running, dining out, bike riding at the beach and music.  Amy realized how important it is for her – and all parents – to still have their own lives while raising children, and wanted to create an interactive website that would foster this idea.  Parentainment.com is the answer to this; a one-stop-shop for parents to connect with other parents, gather information to help them overcome the challenges of parenthood, and learn how to have fun while being the best parents they can be.

Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, and has worked as an employee and consultant for an impressive roster of corporations such as Universal Music Group, LowerMyBills.com, DirecTV International, Hyatt Hotels and Raytheon.
